What is FCA?

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is touching millions of lives… one heart at a time.

Since 1954, FCA has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful platform of sport to reach every coach and every athlete with the transforming power of Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities around the globe by engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to unite, inspire and change the world through the gospel.

To see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.

To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.

Our relationships will demonstrate steadfast commitment to Jesus Christ and His Word through Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence.

INTEGRITY • We will demonstrate Christ-like wholeness, privately and publicly. (Proverbs 11:3)

SERVING • We will model Jesus’ example of serving. (John 13:1-17)

TEAMWORK • We will express our unity in Christ in all our relationships.(Philippians 2:1-4)

EXCELLENCE • We will honor and glorify God in all we do. (Colossians 3:23-24)

To and Through the Coach

We pursue our vision and mission through the strategy of to and through the coach. We seek ministry first to coaches hearts, marriages and families. Then, when ready, we minister through coaches to their fellow coaches, teams and athlete leaders.

Billy Graham said, “A coach will impact more people in one year than the average person will in an entire lifetime.” With the influence of a coach, FCA recognizes the most strategic way to reach more athletes is to first reach the coach.

As FCA matures, we seek to make disciples through our methods of engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to know and grow in Christ and lead others to do the same.

ENGAGE • (1 Thessalonians 2:8)

We engage relationally by connecting with individuals and through events in many different environments by building genuine trust, sharing our lives and sharing the gospel. We strive to connect with coaches and athletes where they are on their spiritual journey.

EQUIP • (Ephesians 4:12)

After cultivating relationships and once coaches and athletes come to faith in Christ, we want to equip them with Christ-centered training, events, resources and on-going support in what it means to be a follower of Christ, growing in God’s Word and applying it to life.

EMPOWER • (2 Timothy 2:2)

Once equipped, we empower faithful leaders who desire to use their time, talents and treasures to help other coaches and athletes experience the gospel, grow in their faith and share Him with others. We desire to develop disciples who make disciples, assisting them so that they can in turn engage, equip and empower others to know and grow in Christ and lead others to do the same.

Huddles are one of the best environments to Engage, Equip and Empower coaches and athletes.

Definition of a Huddle: A consistent small group environment in the sports community where the gospel is made known and lived out.

We Have 3 Types of Huddles:

  • Coaches - A Huddle that is comprised of sport coaches
  • Community - A Huddle that involves coaches and athletes from travel, club, or league sports environments
  • Campus - A Huddle that involves coaches and athletes from a school campus

Unite your two passions, faith and athletics, to impact the world for Jesus Christ.  We've been on one mission for over 60 years.

Coach is the one of the most influential individuals in our society. It has been said that a coach will influence more people in one year than most people will in a lifetime. FCA seeks to equip and encourage coaches to grow in their faith and become transformational in how they coach their athletes and influence other coaches.

Since 1966, the FCA Ministry has been present on campuses all across the country. The Campus Ministry is initiated and led by student-athletes and coaches on junior high, high school and college campuses.

The purpose of Campus Ministry, through various types, has been to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost and to seek to grow and mature a follower of Jesus Christ. The “win” of Campus Ministry is to see campuses impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches.

FCA Camp takes the best attributes of an athletic-focused camp and a spiritual-focused camp and combines them into an athletic/spiritual experience like none other. FCA Camp removes athletes and coaches from the rut and routine of their sport, friends/co-workers and community and places them into an exciting, healthy, athletic environment that allows them to pursue their passion for sport and clearly see and hear the Christ’s passion for them.

Today, competitors who want to reach their potential through comprehensive athletic, spiritual and leadership training attend a variety of Camps. View the 2019 FCA Camps video here.

Camp Testimonies

"Hey Noah leadership camp was the most incredible experience in my life and at first I didn't know what to expect as I walked into leadership camp it was just so welcoming and everyone loved us there. I could feel the presence of The Lord. I finally understand what it means to be ALL IN! I can't wait for camp again next year."

- Kevin, FCA Student Leader, Slam Miami Charter School

"Will never forget any of it, your impact on my life was amazing. I’m forever thankful for those hard times and great times at camp but always we ended in prayer to wash it all away on a good note and that made me the man I am today. I still have to this day the prayer you gave me in my old wallet - I took it with me wherever I went, I’ll find it and send you a pic. I have had it for years now. Memories on top of memories.

- Charles, Miami Second Chance Football Camper

FCA Community Ministry is the off-campus opportunities to reach coaches and athletes through the club and recreation sport environment. With the majority of athletes playing sports in the community (non-campus programs), FCA is ministering to the club, recreational and youth sports teams with the goal of establishing on-going ministry for coaches and athletes to compete for Jesus Christ with character, passion and excellence.
